Bali 2014 - Part 1

I have no interest in Bali but it is one of the top tourist spots for Koala land folks. Cheap and close beach. Anyway now that nephews are big, the cousins start toying with the idea of having a girls trip like how we used to do it when we were young. It actually started with Rain posting a photo of us in Sam Poh Tong when we were in our rebellious teens. Yeah, that is a far as our parents let us rebel when we were young.

Anyway after much deliberation, it was decided Bali. The whole trip was planned by our eldest cousin. The weather was quite sucky when we were there, It rained the whole time we were there so pictures were gloomy not to mention we had to cancel a few sightseeing as they were quite dangerous due to bad weather, one of them being the magnificent padi bukit. The one below was taken one the roadside. I made the driver stop because it's ain't Bali unless you've been to a padi bukit.

I got my first manicure and pedicure when I was there. The cheapest place to have it is Ubud. Our enterprising driver has arrangements with this establishment - Putri Bali and they are really cheap. I am sure their quality is good too but because there were so many customers, they did quite a rush job.

We got our nails and toes done, mine is brown. In hindsight, it was a bad idea cause it blended into my skin and looked like I got my nails pulled out haha.

But looked at my feet. Never looked sooo good with all dead skins exfoliated.

I could get used to this. Why does mani and pedi  have to be so expensive here!
